Waiting...

Today I am 38 1/2 weeks pregnant and anxiously waiting for the arrival of my little boy. I have cleaned out the pantry, gone to get groceries, cleaned out the refrigerator, and scrubbed the bathroom. I still find something to clean each day. I have also been walking in the morning before it gets to hot, and my favorite new thing is sitting on my workout ball. Even though I am waiting, I still find myself enjoying my freedom for the next few days. Other things on my mind... it is weird not going back to school. Mt. Peak had Meet the Teacher Night last night and I was a little sad not to be meeting a room full of kiddos. I know that once my little dude arrives my life will become full time mom. I will be busy and I am sure God will continue to use my teaching gifts in some capacity.

Independence Day

Kasey and I have been enjoying a relaxing holiday weekend. On Saturday we went to the Duncanville Parade to get that old time feeling of the 4th of July. Kasey was in the parade along with my Grandma J, my dad, my niece Kennedy and her mom Stephenie. I enjoyed the parade for the street view with the rest of the family. We then spent the 4th of July hanging out at Kasey's parents home eating lots of yummy food and swimming. It always feels so nice to get in the water when you are pregnant. This time around I busted a pool raft and began to sink. Oh but the laugh and the rescue from Kasey was worth it! We have enjoyed a wonderful holiday weekend with family and friends.
