Things Reid has been doing:
1. Reid has been rolling over especially in his bed, we are trying to learn how to roll back so he doesn't get upset that he is stuck
2. Reid is ready to be on the move. He likes to get on his hands and knees and scouch all over the floor. Mom is not ready for Reid to crawl but she is thinking it is coming soon
4. Reid's 2nd cousin Jacob Wesley was born. Yeah there is finally another boy I can play with! My mommy and I were at the hospital all day, and my mom says i was a perfect baby. Oh another note, Jacob was born in room 12 at Baylor just like Reid!
5. Reid loves making sounds with his lips....it makes my mommy smile
6. Some people think Reid's eyebrows are stuck in the raised position. He is constantly taking the world around him in and his big blue eyes are open wide all the time.
7. One of my favorite things to do is watch my mommy cook in the kitchen
8. Reid began to eat cereal towards the end of the month and actually really likes it.
9. Reid had to go to see Dr. Towns because he has a cold (upper respiratory infection) He has not been feeling good and his mommy had many sleepless nights.
10. Reid spent many days with some of his favorite babysitters while his mommy went to work at the Dallas Market. He even spent a day with his cousin Kennedy and she is now ready for her little sister to arrive. (Kennedy is a big helper)
11. He is grabbing toys, necklaces, hair, and reaching out to touch your face. Mommy now wears her hair in a pony tale and forgets accessories as they just become a hassle.
12. Reid also has been watching the dogs, Lexi is calm and lets him play on her, but she likes to give him lots of kisses too.
13. He can now put his paci in his mouth by himself...it takes a lot of work on his part but it is fun to watch.
14. "The Wheels on the Bus" is one of his favorite songs and he loves to act out the motions.

Things that have been going on with Reid:
1. I was Mommy and Daddy's favorite gift under the tree at Christmas
2. I met my cousin Jane for the first time... we are only 10 days apart
3. My Cheshier cousins have been fun to hang out with, we even got dressed up to take a picture for Mimi and Papa
4. Cousin Makenlee and I have become good friends, but she likes to take my paci and I am not so sure about that.
5. Mommy laid me on my floor pallet facing up, and then when she looked down again I had rolled over to the other side.
6. I have started to slobber a lot because I have been teething, right now I just wear bibs and eat my hands ...it is not too bad
7. Daddy and I both like to relax with our hands behind our head
8. My hands have started to figure out how to grab toys
9. Daddy and I got lawn mowers for Christmas from Mimi and Papa... daddy knows it will be awhile before I can help with the lawn
10. Momma J and Pappa J got me a tool bench and I think it is really fun!
11. I like to fly in the air like an airplane
12. Smiles and grins are on my face a bunch as I look and listen to people.
13. I still drink my mommy's milk ... mommy says cereal is going to wait a little while. Mommy also came to the conclusion that I don't care for beans or corn
14. When I take my naps I like to listen to music, it helps me relax.

Merry Christmas!!!

This year was a special Chirstmas in the Cheshier home because of a very special little boy we were so blessed to have added to our life this year. For Christmas he received books, a whoozie toy, plus lots of pacis and teething toys in his stocking.

Making Baby Jesus a Birthday Cake

As a tradition in the Jespersen Family we always have a Red Velvet Cake for the birthday of Baby Jesus. The older cousins usually gather around and blow out the candles. This year I made the cake with the help of Reid. He really enjoyed watching and listening to the mixer. When making icing powder sugar goes everywhere, and some even landed on Reid's nose. On Christmas Eve we went to my Aunt Ragena's and Uncle Randy's house and has steaks grilled by Santa(a.k.a. Mark).

Reid is amazed by all things Christmas. One of his favorite things is to stare at decorated Christmas trees. When I watch him do this it makes me smile with joy because he reminds us to stop and enjoy the holidays. We met Santa at Northpark Mall and he did a super job. He was relaxed and calm, his cousin Makenlee however was not to fond of Santa's white beard.
